The formation and training institute of the archdiocese of Singapore, the SPI's founding principle was a more active and meaningful discipleship for the laity in a church that is a communion of communities. The efforts of the Institute are aimed at forming a laity that are capable of understanding their role and mission in today's context and who are enabled to fulfill this mission with joy.

  • Pastoral Care of the Elderly – understanding dementia
    This is one of the ongoing pastoral care workshops offered to create awareness and to deepen understanding on elderly issues. It is also to help in developing pastoral ministry in the Small Christian Communities.”


  • Modern & Contemporary Philosophy
    Fr Albert Renckens, SSCC, will trace the development of our modern day ideas and thoughts through a brief look at the various philosophers from 1400s on to present day.
